K.Mallaiah, fondly called Mallanna by everyone, is a well-known politician turned social activist in the district, especially in the Thungaturthi Assembly Constituency of Nalgonda district. A former Mandal Parishad President of Tirumalagiri Mandal falling under the Constituency, Mallanna is a familiar face in the entire area. A well read personality and a socialist at heart, he has been instrumental in the execution of a number socially useful works in the area like the conduct of Adult Education programmes ( in collaboration with the government as well as on his own through ‘ Pedala Abhivruddi Seva Sangam’ (Weaker Sections Development Society). His work in the area of adult education was well recognized when he was designated as the Mandal Core Resource Person for two years during 1992- 93.
Mallanna was also involved in conduct of Legal Literacy programmes in the area in coordination with the District Legal Services Authority, vocational training (tailoring) for women through DRDA. He spearheaded the campaign ‘Sampoorna Madya Pana Nishedam’ (Total Ban on Liquor). He has encouraged folklore and enabled cultural troupes to come back to the lives of rural people with great success.

Cholleti Soma Narasimha Chary, popularly called as SN Chary, a journalist by profession is a passionate artist and theater personality. A Life Member of Indian Red Cross Society, Chary was actively involved with a number of Social Service activities of Rotary and Lions Clubs for nearly a decade between 2000 and 2012 as secretary, director and treasurer etc.
He was instrumental in organizing over 100 Blood Donation Camps netting close to 5000 units of blood. Chary coordinated the conduct of over 30 free medical camps and eye camps apart from over 2000 eye operations. He also facilitated establishing of water plants and supply of 150 dual desks for the government schools of four villages of Mothkur Mandal.
A senior journalist with Eenadu, a leading Telugu daily, Chary has over 20 years of experience as a journalist. He is the recipient of Best Reporter Award of Eenadu, apart from a Special Award from the Ministry of Health, Govt. of A p in 2012 for his dynamic reporting on anti- tobacco campaign. He was also chosen as the Best Journalist by the Lions Club a number of times.His relentless efforts to convince the then local MLA / MP for the construction of a bridge over Musi river near Gurijala of Mothukur Mandal resulted in the sanction of Rs. 20 crores for the project. For this remarkable achievement, SN Chary was given the Pillalamarri Radha Devi & Gopala Krishna Best Rural Journalist Award by the AP Working Journalists Union on 02 Mar 2014 through the hands of Mr. Justice B. Subhashan Reddy, Lok Ayukta of Andhra Pradesh. He is a theatre artist and painter too.

He worked in various govt initiatives like Sramika Vidyapeeth -Univ of Hyd, Balajyothi (National Child Labour Project Society – Hyd dist). Since 2006-2012 in C.F.C.A. worked as Zonal Co-ordinator in Slums for Children Education and SMG groups for women and 2012 – May 2014 in Mount Fort Social Institute (MSI) worked as a Co-ordinator-Hyd Slums in Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY). An Arts graduate with Physical Education courses like U.G.D.P.E and B.P.E.D
