- 1. People of 13 years old (from 9th class/grade) and above can participate in virtual voting by using their mobile phones, computers or tablets
- 2. Voters can nominate their preferred candidate/s to run for different roles or positions in their local region.
- 3. For independent candidates who are nominated by their local voters, contesting is free
- 4. Candidates from political parties can also participate in virtual polling by paying a participation and campaign fee
- 5. All contestants must submit their profile - their personal information, their community service accomplishments, serious criminal cases pending against the candidates, details of the assets and liabilities of the candidates and their family; and educational qualifications of the candidates.
- 6. Scientific tools will be used to assess and rate contestants' profiles and works
- 7. Campaign & Branding
- • Candidates & parties can promote their name, profile, symbol, manifesto, etc. via e-ballot papers.
- • Clicking the candidate's picture in the e-ballot paper will display the candidate's profile, rating, manifesto, and links to his/her social media/website.
- • PMVP offer candidates the opportunity to reach voters and voting sub groups via SMS, WhatsApp, email, videos, interviews, discussion forums and voice mail services.
- • Political party candidates must pay to use these services, whereas independent candidates can send them 4 times for free during the campaign period.
- 8. Voter reminders – during voting period PMVP will send emails or text messages to voters who haven't voted to increase turnout.
- 9. After online polling, analysis is done based on

- · Sub group wise - Age, economy, gender, education, vocation, agenda wise, % of polling etc.,
- 10. Results are displayed as pie charts, bar graphs, and easy-to-read summaries.
- 11. Auditable results – Poll results are transparent and auditable
- 12. 100% integrity - No tampering with votes. - Voters can cross-verify their own votes after each election
- 13. For future improvement, feedback is collected at the end of each online election from both contested candidates and voters
